This property is one of four single story cottages set around a rustic courtyard once used as a dairy cattle yard. No.1 is set apart from the others as its entrance does not lead onto the courtyard, allowing a little more privacy, however the courtyard is there for all to use. The view from the French windows is of gentle rolling countryside with few other houses to be seen. The road running past the cottage “Perrydown Lane” is a single track road with very few vehicles passing during the day. At the rear of the property is a grassy area which may be used by all the holiday makers, also situated at the rear is the small office from which we run our other business called Old Hamlet Wine and Spice Company.
The interior of the property has ample room for two people, it is decorated with gentle colours, old polished pine doors and furniture, attractive cottage fabrics for the furnishings and curtains and on the walls hang many varied original watercolours, limited edition prints and other interesting framed prints.
Leading from the entrance hall you will find the main living area has a comfortable sofa and attractive rustic furniture with an old pine dining table and chairs, coffee and side tables. Of course all the properties have digital television with an integral DVD player and a well equipped kitchen area with ample storage for foods etc. the fridges have ice boxes with sufficient space for small amounts of frozen foods.
The bedroom has a 4ft 6ins double bed with a continental quilt and bed linen supplied and an antique wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bathroom has a full size bath, sink and lavatory, also a large airing cupboard and shaver sockets and heated towel rail etc. All the properties have fitted carpet throughout except in the halls, kitchens and bathrooms which have vinyl flooring.
